Hi,

thanks for the post. A couple notes:
* as someone else already said it's worthwhile to use add "-n" to not wait on the server
* you don't need to use Terminal, do shell script "...." is already a valid script. This means you can also save yourself the wrapper
* I use quicksilver and rather than compiling the script as an application I've saved it as a script in Library/Scripts and configured a trigger for it

Followed the exact steps for updated version in command line, but did not work for me.

Any ideas?

Hi,

I have followed the above steps. But the track pad on MacBook pro does not work when i do 'emacs client'.
I have '(setq mouse-wheel-mode t)' in my ~/.emacs.

Please help.

Hi, another note, unless you edit the make scripts you need an older copy of Emacs.app installed to /Applications/ before building. Otherwise - great instructions and help!

Thanks for your guide. I have one slight adjustment. I think it's best to have emacsclient.sh as follows:

#!/bin/bash
/Applications/Emacs.app/Contents/MacOS/bi... -c -n

so that Emacs Client.app exits.

The instructions for the terminal version brought in X windows
code for me, and the prefix defaulted to /usr/local.

I did:

./configure --with-x=no --prefix=/usr
sudo make install

and there was much rejoicing in the land.
